Played the front 9 and it was a nice long course that was pretty well maintained. It's a lot of long par 4's and par 5's thar are very open. The fairways were like carpets and the greens were nicely maintained. My only gripe was that the course was VERY wet while I played. It doesn't seem like water drains away very effectively after rain so take that into account.
One of my favourite courses in the greater Ottawa area. Conditions are always top notch and despite a slight price increase this season it is still a great price for the quality of course. Legacy is the more challenging of the 18 hole options with much more variation between holes and some hazards placed at unique distances that lead to careful decision making. Legacy also features several elevated greens where you are faced with a blind approach shot. However, the greens are fairly large so it's deceiving. On top of all 36 holes being fantastic there's also a great driving range and putting/chipping areas. Greensmere also features some of the best golf course food I've ever tried. The fries rival any chip truck and the Lobster and Shrimp bisque is incredible. Can't recommend this course enough. Can't wait to get back.
Beautiful course, probably some of the best fairways in Ottawa, but there are some impatient players (members?).
Was chirped at for a sub 2-hour 9 hole. This is the second time I've played here this year and both times, we had people yelling at us from behind to move faster. We finished our 9 hole rounds in 1hr 45 and 1hr 50.
Two very nice courses that are always in great condition. Prices are pretty average. Legacy course is a really good challenge with a lot of tight, tree-lined fairways. Premiere course is a bit more open. Both courses feature a beautiful landscape with some nice views.
Played in the OVSMCA tournament at the couse. Golf course was in great shape, little imperfections that had no bearing on our day. Beverage cart person was amazing, saw her regularly always smiling and friendly. Other staff I interacted with also friendly and helpful. Overall a great day. Played Legacy course.
Nice, well maintained course but was a little backed up halfway through. Four groups all bunched up at each tee off which became very frustrating. Clubhouse is a little tired but food staff are great and the food is very good.
First time back since moving away for work, I was a member at Greensmere for two seasons in 20-22' (150+ rounds, i love this course).
Yesterday I played the Legacy course as I was visiting Ottawa and I gotta be honest, I was pretty disappointed by the playing conditions.
Maybe I just got it on a bad day, but the greens looked like the cutters had mechanical problems, ugly cut marks all over the place. A total mess to putt on. I had brought 3 corporate guests and promised a top quality experience... sigh, not a good look for me.
Played the Premiere course today. In great shape, no waiting and good pace. The greens rolled true and the wide open layout was forgiving. There were some spots on the tee boxes where the footing was uneven but you could easily find a level place to stand.
